Gaithri Ramanathan OD, FAAO

Dr. Gaithri Ramanathan is a residency trained optometrist and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She received her undergraduate degree in Genetics/Microbiology from Rutgers University before attending Salus University(formerly the Pennsylvania College of Optometry) for her optometric studies. Following her Doctoral studies, Dr. Ramanathan completed a residency in Ocular Disease/Primary Care at the Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System, NY. During her residency she received advanced training in the diagnosis, treatment and management of various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and dry eye.

She became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2008, an honor held only by a small percentage of optometrists in the country. She is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians(NJSOP) and the American Optometric Association(AAO).

Dr Ramanathan currently sees patients at her private practice, Eye Society Boutique, in Sicklerville, NJ
